Exceeding $120 million in sales for 2008, D&G continues to open its hip boutiques worldwide, attracting myriad of young fans and models to the famous D&G clothing shows.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana met in 1983, that is when they decided to create their own studio, which later evolved into a fashion empire.
House of Fashion Dolce & Gabanna has reached the success with a truly stunning pace. The first Dolce & Gabbana collection, entitled "Real Woman", has been presented in 1986 at Milano Collezioni show. The collection full of Mediterranean colours and culture has made Domenico and Stefano famous in the world of designer clothing and their success story continued with a big contract signed with a Japanese distributor Onward Kashiyama group in 1988.
In 1989 D&G Fashion House releases the first collection of swimwear and lingerie, in 1990 - creates a collection of clothing for men, later launching D&G perfume line as well as a line of accessories and footwear. In 1994, Dolce & Gabanna acquired the brand name "D&G" and launches the line of D&G clothing for the youth. As of the year 2008, D&G clothing is popular among the celebrities like: Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Victoria Beckham, Isabella Rosselini, Demi Moore, Nicole Kidman and other.
The D&G clothing brand today has expanded worldwide. The 21st Century has brought tremendous popularity to D&G clothing in the UK, the company opened stores in multiple locations of London Leeds and Manchester and has plans for other main cities of the UK. |
